Being Superhead

Karrine Steffans (aka Superhead) is having the Best Month Ever. First, she appeared on Oprah and cried on her couch about how she was exploited by men in the music biz and now, Vivid has released her eponymous porn film — a collection of sex scenes between her and Mr. Marcus shot more than six years ago.
In the footage, you’ll see exactly how Steffans earned the nickname “Superhead”. Legendary porn stick, Mr. Marcus talked about her “skills” with nothing less than admiration.
“The thing that stood about her was that she gave incredible head,” he said. “She created something off that one act that people are still talking about today.”
Steffans was none too happy about the release and sued Vivid Video to keep it off the shelves. A federal judge denied Steffan’s request for a temporary restraining order to halt sale of the DVD based on dishonest advertising and a too-recent photo of her on the box cover.
Honestly, I hesitated on putting this in the Black Celebs category. Sure, she wrote last year’s hot, hip-hop tell-all, Confessions of a Video Vixen, where she dropped dime on having sex with everyone from Shaquille O’Neal to P.Diddy. But does sucking famous dick make you famous by proxy?
